What are tudy's monthly badges?

A monthly badge is an XP challenge that changes every month: hit the goal and you earn an illustrated badge exclusive to that month, kept on your profile forever. It’s free for everyone. The first one was September 2026, and each month has its own goal, shown in the app.
How the monthly challenge works
Every month has an XP goal and its own artwork. XP counts by the day you studied (your account’s local day), including streak milestone bonuses. You track progress on a card on Home and in a strip on the leaderboard.
When you hit the goal, tudy celebrates with a pop-up and the badge lands on your profile shelf. The reward is delivered when you open the app, so if you hit the goal on the last day of the month and open tudy afterward, it still counts.
What has happened so far
- September 2026: the first badge. The goal was +200 XP from the point where each person started, because the challenge launched mid-month.
- October 2026: all XP from October 1 to October 31 counts, and the goal was 600 XP. The artwork is a teacher mascot with glasses and chalk, honoring Teacher’s Day in Brazil. The goal started at 500 XP and rose to 600 on the 2nd; anyone who had already earned it at 500 kept the badge.
A new month always brings a new badge with its own artwork.
Nudges along the way
While you study, tudy shows your progress without getting in the way:
- a slim bar at the top shows challenge XP going up, and disappears in about 3 seconds;
- at 25% and 75% of the goal, the bar gets a gold highlight;
- at 50%, a short pop-up appears;
- at 100%, the achievement pop-up.
The bar doesn’t pop up constantly: at most once every 10 minutes, and only when the screen is free.
Where the badge shows up
On your profile shelf, along with every badge you’ve earned. Next to your name on the leaderboard you only see the badge for the current month; past months stay on your profile. That way the current badge highlights who’s in the race right now.

Pro is $3.99 a month or $29.99 a year, paid by card. Pro doesn’t give you an XP advantage in the challenge.
What badges don’t do
- They don’t come with a cash prize or a product. It’s a profile achievement.
- They aren’t retroactive. A badge belongs to one month: if you didn’t study in September, you can’t earn September’s later.
- They don’t stay next to your name forever. On the leaderboard, only the current month’s badge shows.
- They don’t replace consistency. What makes the goal reachable is studying a little every day, and a streak is the simplest way to keep that rhythm.

Do I need to sign up for the challenge? No. It starts on its own, and the XP you earn by studying already counts.
Can I see how far I have to go? Yes. The challenge card on Home shows your XP for the month and the goal.
Do my friends see my badge? Badges show on your profile and, for the current month, next to your name on the leaderboard.
Hitting the goal without burning out
To reach a goal like October 2026’s (600 XP), the math is simple: each task is worth 5 XP, every 2 minutes of focus is worth 1 XP, and streak milestones add bonuses. Studying a little every day, with the timer and a few tasks, usually pays off more than an end-of-month sprint, partly because daily XP caps limit what you can earn by leaving everything for the last day.
